Our current (2025) junior sides are co-ordinated by Jay Sennis and his band of helpers who are all dedicated to providing a fun learning environment for the boys and girls who make up our junior sides.
Our junior sport should have a focus on ensuring the kids involved enjoy themselves as the main priority whilst engaging in a regular and structured form of exercise for their well-being.
As a second priority we would hope that the kids all learn something from the experience – either about the game, the spirit of competition or the value of social interaction.
The competitive nature of sport is something that develops as the kids get older and the desire to improve grows.
As adults we should recognise these priorities and encourage participation without unrealistic expectations or demands.
This season (2025) the Club has nominated and is fielding Under 7s, Under 8s, Under 9s and Under 12s – all of whom are progressing well and enjoying their involvement.
In addition to Jay and his helpers, coaching of the junior sides is complimented by players from the senior ranks of the club – and we are grateful for their involvement and assistance.
All organised events for the juniors requires the presence / involvement of Club representatives who have obtained a ‘Working with Children’ accreditation.
As with many junior sports, we would always welcome the involvement of as many volunteers as we can get to help with the programme.
If you are able to assist in any way (helping at training, helping on match days, running drinks, cooking BBQs, selling raffle tickets, etc), please contact Jay on 0457 723 214 – he would be pleased to hear from you.
